Early Intervention
Birth - Three Years Old
Early Intervention (EI) is a statewide system dedicated to supporting families with young children who have developmental delays or disabilities. Our mission is to empower families and strengthen their ability to meet the developmental needs of their children from birth to three years old. Our team uses a coaching approach to build caregivers' confidence and competence as they create learning opportunities for their children in everyday routines.
Each family is supported by an Early Intervention professional who serves as the Primary Service Provider (PSP), with access to a full team of specialists who collaborate to deliver comprehensive care.

KEY PRINCIPLES OF EARLY INTERVENTION
Children learn best through everyday experiences with familiar people and in familiar settings.
Families can enhance their child’s development with the right supports and resources.
Our service providers focus on empowering families and caregivers.
The process is individualized to fit each child's and family’s preferences, learning styles, and cultural values.
Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) outcomes are functional, addressing the unique needs and priorities of the family.
The family’s needs and interests are met primarily by one provider, with the support of the entire team.
Interventions are grounded in research, best practices, and relevant laws.
